Consumer Industry Strategy Leader, Senior Manager 1
Deloitte Services LP is seeking a high performing leader who utilizes deep knowledge of the industry, client portfolio, Deloitte's offerings and assets to lead the cross-Business industry program with a forward-looking, strategic and coordinated approach to accelerate growth. Serves in a COO capacity to set strategic transformative priorities, lead leaders and teams, drive to decisions, and position Deloitte and client leaders at the forefront of the marketplace.

The Consumer Industry Growth & Purpose Leader is a senior level position that provides direct support to the Consumer National Industry Leader and Consumer Industry Council leaders in ensuring that the industry achieves its strategic objectives. The Consumer Industry Growth & Purpose Leader will work closely with the Consumer National Industry Leader, the National Consumer Sector Leaders, and the Consumer leadership team across the businesses to enable Green Dot priorities and strategic initiatives and advance US Firm Industry Advantage. They are responsible for driving day-to-day operational activities and will help to manage critical decision making and internal communication processes.

The role involves:
  • Coordinating market-driven, cross-business sector solutions. Working across Businesses and sectors to identify white space and/or areas where collaborative efforts have potential to drive increased growth.
  • Being recognized as a leader with big picture view on trends and forces that will define the direction of the industry.
  • Making a conscious effort to establish trust and build a network of executive client and sector association relationships, e.g., attendance at key sector signature/association events with significant industry executive presence
  • Leading strategic positioning and firm investments on transformative platforms, e.g., 'Future of' perspectives and solutions.
  • Interfacing with client executives at key accounts through participation on pursuits, involvement in executive meetings, and/or active leadership at Deloitte sponsored client events.
  • Working with industry and sector leaders to set strategic priorities for larger, more complex, or more strategically significant industry program and structure. Leading industry transformation to ensure agile and evolving structure.
  • Building a sustainable, optimized client portfolio through segmentation, LCSP / AP succession, and account resourcing.
  • Coordinating and managing essential operational responsibilities including budget management, CRE deployment, and Industry Council meetings.
  • Leading the development of sector talent, performance management, and community building. Building individual, trusted relationships across industry and sector leadership team (businesses and global).
  • Partnering with Talent and PPMD Matters in owning talent management strategy and process, including performance management, recruiting and staffing of industry teams.
  • Collaborating with Industry Center Director, Center chief of staff, and research team to align research agenda with industry priorities.
  • Partnering with Industry Marketing and PR leadership to develop forward vision and strategic direction aligned with industry priorities. Positioning Deloitte's brand within the industry clients and ecosystem.
  • Working with industry and sector leaders to set and execute strategic priorities and drive alignment across Businesses and sectors.
  • Coordinating and managing essential operational responsibilities including budget management, reporting and analytics, CRE deployment, and Industry Council meetings.
  • Leading industry transformation to ensure agile and evolving structure.
  • Working with client leaders to bring industry insights, firm assets, and cross-Business capabilities to account teams.
  • Personally increasing expertise around key trends and forces that will influence strategy and client conversations.

The teamSupporting our Industry's execution of our U.S. firms' strategies, the Consumer Industry Growth & Purpose Leader is instrumental in helping our Consumer client teams deliver world-class service and value to our clients. The Consumer team is a dedicated group across Deloitte businesses focused on delivering value and impact across a wide range of platforms and issues. The Consumer Industry Growth & Purpose Leader will help drive increased collaboration and coordination between the Industry's enabling area teams of marketing, PR, research, knowledge, L&D, CREs, and CAMs in alignment with strategy.

Qualifications:Required
  • 10+ years' experience within a tier one professional services firm
  • In-depth understanding of the Consumer industry
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage pre-existing network of cross-business and global contacts in the Firm
  • Ability to lead and execute projects, while managing multiple priorities
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-business leaders and teams concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully as an individual contributor
  • Poise, executive presence, outstanding communications skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred
  • Prior client service experience
  • Advanced degree

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,900 to $241,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
