SGM Incubation Manager
The Strategic Growth Market (SGM) team, within the US Firm's Growth & Purpose organization, is seeking a Manager to support the SGM team on a full-time basis.
In partnership with SGM Leadership and key stakeholders across the firm, this role will understand and develop new market opportunity areas, serving a key role in forming and executing on strategic activation priorities. The Manager will play a critical role fostering growth across a nascent (i.e. "incubating) market, by developing a deep understanding of the market and the opportunity; coordinating stakeholder alignment; developing strategic priorities; and executing against those strategic priorities, efficiently leveraging the latest SGM resources and tools such as AI.

Strategic Growth Markets invest in a portfolio of markets that are disrupted, emerging or "new to us" to drive the next wave of purposeful cross-business growth for the US Firm, in alignment with the Growth & Purpose strategy. Incubating SGMs help expand and mature high-potential market opportunities - with the agility to pivot focus areas as the strategic landscape evolves.

Work You'll Do
As a member of the SGM team, this role will focus on fostering growth within a specific market area opportunity, helping the organization move with greater speed, clarity, and consistency. In practice, it means supporting strategic priorities to address the market opportunity, coordinating resources, shared services teams and other Enabling Solutions resources to develop and operationalize the incubation strategy.
Activities the Incubation Manager will be responsible for include:
- Market Understanding: Develop deep knowledge of the assigned market opportunity area, including competitive dynamics, growth drivers, key stakeholders, and strategic fit within the broader firm portfolio
- Stakeholder Coordination: Ensuring stakeholders from across the firm are consulted, informed and/or are accountable for developing and supporting the SGM's strategic outcomes
- Growth Planning: Support development of a plan to grow the market opportunity area, including defining success metrics, identifying key investments, and sequencing activation priorities
- Activation Execution: Drive execution across key activation areas, managing and coordinating across teams, managing against milestones, and maintaining momentum on strategic initiatives
- Cross-SGM Collaboration: Identify opportunities for cross-SGM collaboration and dependencies, driving "Business of Tomorrow" thinking both within the incubating opportunity and across the portfolio
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of professional experience in consulting, business strategy and operations, PMO, or similar roles with at least 3 years of client service experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and developing emerging market opportunities or new business areas
- Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives or incubation/transformation efforts
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and time management skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management
- Exceptional stakeholder management, including comfort working with senior leaders in ambiguous, fast-shifting environments
- Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel, including executive-level storyboarding and presentation development
- Self-directed and adaptable team player who takes initiative and thrives in dynamic environments
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18,700 to $218,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
